Thank you for the history lesson. I have a feeling many photographers today have never heard that phrase.

I didn't even realize why I had chosen f8. But it's funny, that's what I have my camera set to almost all the time when I'm out taking pictures of birds or other wildlife, even when I'm using the fast 70-200 f 2.8 lens. Unless it's really dark, it's f8 all the way. 😁

You are welcome! It ran in the circles of newspaper, magazine and street photographers mostly - but then other type of photographers began to adopt the phrase too.
